This is a recent competition entry to a competition held by Sample making company Spitfire Audio in conjunction with HBO. The competition was basically to score a piece to this scene. This was a really useful exercise to me in writing to picture that pushed me out of my own boundries. I found it very interesting having to work to a scene where, pace, mood changes and dynamics in the music were key to making the scene work. While it’s not my usual genre, I wanted to show that I can adapt my music to make what’s happening on screen work.
